URSA is an initiative for collaborative research dedicated to advancing practical solutions in urban resilience and sustainability transition. It strategically addresses the multifaceted challenges of urbanization through a scientifically grounded systemic approach to provide actionable recommendations for policy makers and stakeholders. 

Departing from conventional methodologies the forum proposed a comprehensive network-centric model to understand how urban systems could become more resilient to multiple hazards and even slow onset stressors, implications and action items for the City of Vancouver were discussed.
